such a compelling story and setting, inspired by an equally important history and topic that’s sadly still haunting our current society.
i picked it up because of marjorie’s backstory and inspiration on creating maika, but the character designs, artwork, and the atmospheric choices are extremely cool.

sadly with the first few chapters, a lot of the deep lore of the world and the nuances with the politics could be better explored, rather than using a postface to dump crucial information about the history and lore. it didn’t immediately grip me as much as i hoped it would due to that very reason.
but then chapter 5-6 happened! which immediately held my attention, the panels were great, the dusk court is very cool, and tuya?! was hinted at lowkey but still such a fun twist!
might get the next volumes if the mood ever arises (especially since i hear promises of more sapphic pairings).
