Bad Summer People by Emma Rosenblum
3.0

Ok-ish. Reminds me of “Desperate Housewives” which I enjoy but on an island and without some of the charm that the show had. Shifting between all the different characters and their POVs made it difficult to keep track of. Narrowing that down to a small handful would have been better. Also, I understand that Rosenblum was trying to make sure we understand how shallow and materialistic the characters are but I could have done without all of the constant brand dropping. Maybe that’s just me, but it got old. And going through 31 chapters to FINALLY get an answer to what happens in the beginning was annoying.
