The Stolen Heir by Holly Black

4.0

The stolen heir was one of my most anticapated books of 2023, and it lived up to the majority of my expectations.
Though it was quite hood, it did not live up to The Cruel Prince.

I can't get over Oak having hairy goat legs and feet and while thia takes place 8 years after The Queen of Nothing, I am unable to see Oak as anything but a kid (let alone someone who is attractive)

I really loved being back in this world as well as the family angst and trauma. The things Wren endured were just so awful, I loved her character.
While I liked her narration, I still prefer Jude's.

I have to admit that while the ending did take me by surprise considering a certain thing she does, it makes me eagerly wait for the sequel to find out what happens next .

I loved that, however minor, there was still some queer rep.
I am also disappointed that we had no Jude or Cardan cameos. I love Jude so much and was hoping to see them grown up.

Overall, I would reccomend this book, however ultimately, the cruel prince remains superior.
