Yesterday I asked myself, let's read something different that is important also. Then I picked this book, and I must say it didn't disappoint me at all. I gained a lot of information and developed an awareness of our environment.

A range of environmental changes is altering our planet, affecting the lives of all living things. In his book "The secret of plants in the environment," Rishikesh Upadhyay describes how plants survive.

Plants hold a lot of secrets within; their roots, shoots, and leaves do magic for adaptation for changes. Being a science background person, I know the basic physiology of plants. Through this book, the author focuses on more the adversities that affect the plant growth, like pollution, and how the plant deals with adverse conditions like extreme cold, drought, waterlogging, and finally, the survival of plants against all the odds.

I like the most that the author focuses on the impacts of adversities and explains the defense mechanism and adaptations a plant develops for stress. The book holds facts and illustrations that reflect the author's deep knowledge of plant physiology.

This book can be used as a specific guidebook for plant physiology students. If you are the one who wants to know the secret life of plants and love reading environmental-related books, then this is definitely a perfect pick for you.
