I live for Neva Altej’s book releases, but I was hesitant on this one due to the step-sibling aspect of it all. While that was definitely a component, it really didn’t end up being my main complaint with the book. I just didn’t love the characters like I usually do. It was still a fast-paced read with the tropes I expect from her books (possessive and hot headed mmcs are consistent and necessary, please and thanks), but I didn’t find myself sad that their story was over. Onto the next.
