The Detective Wins The Witch by Kristen Painter

4.0

Series: Nocturne Falls #10
Rating: 4 stars - It was really good

Single mom Marigold Williams finds herself instantly attracted to Wyatt so when she needs a date to her sister's wedding she asks him as a favor. What she doesn’t expect is to fall in love with him and introduce him to the paranormal side of Nocturne Falls.

Another Williams sister falls in love! This instalove story with Marigold and Wyatt was so cute. I adored Wyatt. He was so protective, kind, and supportive. I loved how these two decided to start a relationship and discussed their fears of commitment at the same time. They never hid their fears from each other and were honest from the beginning about it. Wyatt also was so great with Saffron. He didn’t push her to like him or support their relationship. He just talked with her and allowed her to express her feelings about their relationship. Basically, he will make a great stepdad to her.

This story was fascinating because this is the first full length one involving the witches. We see how dangerous their magic and artifacts can be. Also we finally get to see a little of what Alice is capable of and that she isn’t as scary as she seems. I really hope we get a book with her in it in the future because she is the most mysterious woman of Nocturne Falls.

Overall, I adored this couple and their story. This is one of my favorite series because they all are fun, sweet good stories that make you want to smile. I will never be tired of Nocturne Falls and their residents.
