The Argentina Reader: History, Culture, Politics by Graciela Montaldo, Gabriela Nouzeilles

An enlightening read. I really enjoyed the presentation of the country's history and devlopment through the medium of a compilation of articles, letters and poems in more or less chronological order from the arrival of Europeans in the region that became Argentina. I learned A LOT, and the variety of perspectives presented gave the collection more depth and breadth than a dry historical record.

The chronological collection also served to illustrate how themes, motives, problems and suggested solutions tend to recur throughout history. Overall, a thoroughly rewarding and at times challenging experience, a tribute to the success of the Reads the World Challenge at The StoryGraph
