This is really hard to review, I feel like giving it a number is unfair when this isnt a genre I like. It was given to me as a gift and I wanted to see what it was about. This is my first dark romance book and also dark academia, truly not things I'm generally interested in. I didnt like the book and at times it made my stomach uncomfortable reading how they spoke to one another. Sooo definitely read your triggers  because that first chapter is a doozy. I could see how others might love it, especially the spice and being a series with each book about a different couple in the group. However, even though I didnt like it, the story pulled me along with there being a mild mystery to it and not knowing what actions Killian would actually do or not. It was very predator vs prey/grooming and Glyn was awful and boring generic. I will not be reading more of these, but if dark academia is your thing or thinking of getting into one I think it is a good starting point.
