I just read this on my grocery trip recently. It was a creepy book for that. Thankfully, we didn't need any meat, because I'm not sure I could've bought ground beef while listening to it haha. Also, it was very hard to eat dinner while listening to this, even late since I'd been getting groceries during my normal dinner time. I would definitely recommend this one, but just maybe not as a soundtrack for groceries or dinner haha. It definitely has brutal violence towards animals, cannibalism, and murder in it as well, so it's not for the faint of heart. Also, file this one under unlikeable main character. Yes, I realise that's common in horror, but it's still very notable here. I would recommend it for sure; it was quite creepy, especially when you meet the nephew and niece.
