Assassin's Apprentice

➸ 4/5 stars
I’m very glad I took a chance and decided to pick this book up because I honestly had a very fun time. This was a good mix of cozy fantasy mixed in with a little bit of action. I really hope to see more action/fight scenes with Fitz because he was throwing hands like it was nothing.
Many people talk about the pacing being quite slow and while that is true I didn’t mind and I felt like it was perfect for the story at hand. The world building and the characters grasp you by your heart strings and never let you go especially when it comes to Burrich! Him and Fitz are the definition of two peas in a pod. To draw a comparison I would say there’re similar to Hagrid and Harry.
With seeing other people’s reactions I went in expecting more gut wrenching scenes but the emotional scenes were in my opinion were pretty tame. Or many I’ve read too many fantasy books and can’t feel normal human emotions.
“Too late to apologize, I've already forgiven you.”
