The Clockmaker's Daughter
by Kate Morton
Honestly, In the beginning I wasn't sure. I really wasn't. It was a slow start but about 25 pages in I was ready. Once I got to part 4 I was so invested, I HAD to find out what happened to the missing Lilly/Birdie.
I have never read any of Kate Morton's books, and while many said this was not their favorite of hers, as a first for me this was a lovely and intriguing book. While there are a number of characters and labyrinths of their stories for most of the middle of the book, their stories are deeply connected to the House in which this story focuses.
If you have award time following multiple characters this may be a tough read for you. If not, this is a great historical fiction novel; Well written and wonderfully story! Highly recommend :)
