~ "I'm scared at how deeply consuming you are. I'm scared by how much I want you, and I'm scared at what I'd do for you. If you asked me to kill for you, I would. If you asked me to throw myself to the sharks, I would." ~

I was lucky enough to be part of the ARC team for Kate Schumacher (another amazing Aussie author) and ever since picking this up I've had the pirates of the Caribbean soundtrack playing non stop and wishing I was out at sea ⛵️

Pirates, fae, syhrens, gods and demi-gods, magic weilders who have to hide their abilities or risk being hunted down, and then throw in some Arthurian legends into the mix? Yes please.

With multiple POVs on seperate journeys that all tie together; it was all the perfect blend of fantasy and romance (including LGBTQI+ representation).
There was that slowwww-burn tension between characters, plenty of betrayals, secrets and prophecies, hidden identities, and self discovery - I fell in love with every character!

The POV changes each chapter which made for some heart-stopping mini cliffhangers throughout the entire book - with twists and turns in ways I was nottttt expecting, and THAT LAST CHAPTER - Kate I need the next book asap please and thank you!!
