Vibes - Sweet, Good time
'The Prince & Me' but make it gay
This is a lovely, sweet, low-angst, pallet cleanser. It gives hallmark movie vibes. It actually reminded me of the 2004 classic 'The Prince & Me' but if it was a queer romance. The 'villain' reporter's redemption was such a shift in personality that it came across as disingenuous. The whole story line wrapped up far too quickly. I did like the small town vibes and all the side characters, I can't wait to read their stories. I'm not sure I would could this as fake dating, since they are actively dating but they are just faking how long and how serious they are. It's very insta-love and not very deep but it is light and cute and fun so I didn't mind the insta-love as much.
