Percival Everett is clearly a fantastic author. He really manages to make this book feel like Huckleberry Finn did, but added so much more heart and awareness than the original ever had. James is a phenomenal character, the storytelling is fast-paced, and the ending made me so excited. 

Reading The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn was actually worth it!
