For the time that this was written, it's amazing.
Looking at it through a contemporary lens, there are a lot of wasted panels and dialogue that don't contribute to the pacing, mood, or plot. It was just the way these stories were structured at the time. And there are some plot holes that annoyed my perfection seeking brain. But that's just me. I can see why it's a beloved story.
