Nine Liars
by Maureen Johnson
DNF @ 200 pages
I quite honestly think I've just grown out of this series. I literally never read YA anymore because I simply don't relate to it as a twenty six year old woman. I'm not saying older adults can't read and enjoy YA or this book specifically. But for me, I think I've just simply grown out of reading about characters who are in high school in college.
I started reading the series when at first came out and absolutely loved, it's one of my favorite series of all time and I even liked the spinach where they're at the summer camp. But I got about 200 pages into this one. And it is far more about Stevie debating how to have sex with David rather than any actual mystery. Which again, that's totally fine, especially for a ya book to explore - but I'm simply not interested.
I love Maureen Johnson though and will definitely be keeping up with her upcoming releases that aren't in this series!
