The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern

Did not finish book.
It sounded like such a good premise but I can't get over how much child abuse is present in the first 44 pages, even if they are instantly healed after with magic. I'm glad that I did not buy this book because abuse should not be tolerated at all, end of story. So I am not comfortable with reading any further.
