Smoke Gets in Your Eyes: And Other Lessons from the Crematory by Caitlin Doughty

5.0

I’ve always been a bit on the morbid side for whatever reason. I’ve had a lot of tough close deaths I’ve faced lately and I love that this hits the nail on the head of what I’ve felt for a very long time. Being able to think about death in a natural way and face it for what it is. She’s a great writer and a real human being writing about her thoughts and experiences. I have always wanted a green burial and it’s sad that we are governed on how things should be without many reasons why. Very great read and I especially love the referral at the end of the book to other books with such topics and more info on green burials, life lists for planning around the subject death etc.
