This was my first Ali Hazelwood read and definitely not my last. I know the age gap trope annoyed a lot of people but I found it refreshing to have a new reason not to date (I’ve never read an age gap romance before). I’ve also never read a romance with so many words I had never seen, couldn’t pronounce and had to look up definitions for. 🤣
I thought that Maya and Conor were solid characters and well-developed. While I had a hard time visualizing their physical looks, I had no issues figuring out their personalities.
I got confused during the first few chapters while following Maya’s timeline and settings throughout countries and cities but figured it out after it was revisited. I liked that she was a woman in stem and that the author actually researched the physics profession to paint a full picture.
I felt that the ending was tied up neatly and I had no lingering questions that went unanswered.
