I had so much fun reading about Rayla! She knows when to have fun and when to put the hurtin' down. The other heirs were all great in their own ways too. Ax was growly. Avery had that irresistible swagger. Falcon was cool and collected and totally in control for schmexy times, and Lex was the best kind of stalker. Then we have a wild card that I won't name here for book one because it might be a slight spoiler, and I want you to get your socks knocked off. ;) The heads of the Syndicate, all the heirs' fathers, are certainly entertaining in their own right, and even though there are gore and guts galore, because, duh, it's an Urban Fantasy mafia story, it's got tremendous heart with the right amount of sweetness.
