Just as cheesy as I expected, but thank god, also well written and the characters are all likeable. I enjoyed the first 100 pages the most, because it was just genuinely interesting and discussed death and grief in a straightforward but unique way. I'll be probably looking up a death café nearby 👀
Personally, I'm not really into reading romance so I feel like I would have enjoyed the plot more if Clover just made friends. Still, it was an easy read with some interesting comments and ideas on death and just wholesome in overall.
One thing that did bother me is that somehow the author couldn't really make a point without killing someone off. I find it a bit controversal that the message of the book seems to be to cherish life, but Clover only takes advice from ppl who have already passed, and somehow only their last words seem to really get to her.
