The Wisdom of Crowds by Joe Abercrombie

5.0

It's hard to express how much I absolutely loved this book. It's been a long time since I've read such a well-written novel. Practically every scene is amazing, the level of depth and nuance to every character is without parallel. Fantasy sometimes falls into the trap of treating things black-and-white, but Abercrombie is the master of nuanced and flawed characters. I've never seen anyone write character traits that are strengths sometimes and flaws other times. Even when they make the wrong choice, I completely understood why they did so.

One of the best novels I have ever read.
