White Fragility: Why It's So Hard for White People to Talk About Racism by Robin DiAngelo

5.0

This book is poignant. Its message is delivered with precision and clarity while simultaneously appealing to a level of humanity that is often lacking in race discussions among white people. I appreciated the almost-surgical precision with which she begins the book, laying out the foundations with which she discusses her later points. There is also an unflinching resolve and conviction which is refreshing; never have I been spoken to about this issue in as straightforward a way, and as someone who benefits from his whiteness, it was much needed. It's a wake-up call, and I'm glad for it.
