Audiobook Review:
I bought this on sale without reading the blurb. I saw that it had good reviews and I loved this author’s Queens and Monsters series so I decided to just start listening- and I loved it! This was so different than what I was expecting!
Megan is a widow who bought a dilapidated b&b in a new town to fulfill her and her late husband’s dream. When she gets to town, though, the town’s best contractor seems to not be able to stand her. He also turns out to be mute after an accident he had years before.
Megan is sarcastic, self-deprecating and hilarious. I absolutely love her sense of humor. The banter in this book just made my day.
This turned out to be magical. Things start happening to force Megan and Theo together and it makes you question who Theo is.
I will always love a duet audiobook and this is no exception. I would consider this a slow burn with a couple spicy scenes.
