As a non-black person, I understand that I haven’t experienced the same amounts of racism or scrutiny in my teaching. But I could relate and felt validated listen-reading to bell hooks’s work 🥹

I need more time with more of bell hooks’s writings, because I feel as though with both this and ‘All About Love’, I was only skimming the surface 😳

‘Pleasure in the classroom is feared’ is a quote that struck me 🫠
