Burnt Sugar by Avni Doshi

Did not finish book.

So this book. Here's the thing. It's BEAUTIFUL. But I struggled so much with the overbearing sadness Antara feels, and I was actually pretty shocked by how triggering it was for me, re: mother/daughter relationships/lack thereof. I didn't make it very far before I realized that this book was beautiful but not for me.
