If you’re looking for a book similar to Finlay Donovan Is Killing It, you have to read this! Geeta, an outcast in her rural Indian village, bonds with women in the same microloan group as she consults on the murders of their horrible husbands. This novel handles sensitive topics such as domestic violence and alcoholism with care and the group’s goofiness prevails to make this more of a lighthearted read. I also love that the stray dog Geeta rescues gets enough mention that having a pet in the story is more than an afterthought.
