First King book of the year 🫡 I'm honestly pretty torn here. I've been meaning to get into The Dark Tower for ages now and decided it was finally time. I liked this, but didn't love it. It's honestly SO slow for the first 3/4 and then it kinda goes off at the end. From what I understand though this book is really just about sort of getting into the series and setting things up more than anything else, so it's pretty much what I expected in that regard. If I didn't expect that I probably would've disliked it more.
It really plunges you right into things and I had to do some googling to fully understand what I was getting into, but I'm liking it so far. The setting is great and I'm definitely intrigued. I plan to continue the series but I just have a lot of other things to read first lol
