Children of Dune by Frank Herbert

3.0

This book starts stronger than Messiah, but quickly devolves into the same pattern of carrying all plot through dialogue. Everything is told, very little is being shown.

Alia’s character remains underdeveloped, and that of the flattest villains. And that stuck out for me through the entirety of this novel.

Only the last 20% of the book became engaging and held more weight than the rest of it.
