Flawless by Elsie Silver

4.0

"Flawless" by Elsie Silver is an age-gap cowboy romance with a hint of forbidden attraction. Despite seeing the book everywhere, I can't believe I've waited so long to read this author. The story's light-hearted and emotional tone and focus on a complex, brooding hero and a feisty heroine kept me engaged and invested in the characters' journey. The underrated heroes of this story are the fathers. They captured my interest and kept me hooked so I could stay around for the romance.
This is the epitome of a romantic comedy. Imagine a rugged boy cowboy, all because he was trash-talking milk? I was in tears from laughter at the reason behind the fun first meeting for Summer and Rhett. I still can't get over it.
"Flawless" is the ultimate small-town, cowboy, cozy, close-knit/found family story. I'm definitely going to devour the rest of this series. I love that it's a Canadian romance set in Calgary. It made me want to book a ticket west and go to the stampede. I need to restock my entire wardrobe because this book has become my entire personality. Yee-Haw!
