“This is what you do when you love somebody. And I have every intention of loving you just as thoroughly as I know you love me. You just have to let me.”

My love of romance books and professional wrestling has collided and I'm not mad about it! I mean who wouldn't love a professional wrestler mmc falling in love with a restaurant owner/chef? Throw in a truly original take on the single parent/guardian trope and we have a winner! Plus... A MARRIAGE OF CONVENIENCE 😍

This book encompassed some hard themes such as addiction, death/loss, and grief, and two people just trying to make their way through the aftermath. A classic enemies to lovers, but the mmc was actually pining for her all along.

I absolutely loved these two. Tabby was such a rock for her family. She tried her best to take care of everyone and everything, including sweet little Milo. But who was taking care of her? Enter our mmc, Rhys Dupris. Um... hello to the broody wrestler. I absolutely adored this man. Quiet and brooding, but so gentle underneath. His relationship with Milo was adorable. But even more... I love the relationship he developed with Tabby. Quietly needling his way into her life to be anything she needed. A verbal sparring partner and emotional punching bag... you got it. Later, emotional support and love, you got it! I also love that he found a home in Tabby and her friends. A group that he could also call his home.

Their relationship development was sooo good! I'll repeat for the third time this series... the banter, tension, spice.... literal perfection. No notes!

Uh, the ending... I melted 🫠.

“Did I say you could talk to my wife?”

“Her name is Tabitha, not that you need to know. Because you? You’re going to keep my wife’s name out of your f***ing mouth.”
