The Silent Wife by Karin Slaughter
2.0

While her storylines are good, I'm glad that this was the last book in this series (at least right now it is), because I've had enough. I like the characters, especially Will, Sarah, & Faith, which is why I've continued to read these books. But, I feel like each book in this series got more and more graphic. I average about 50-60 books a year, and 90% are murder mystery, so I'm used to the genre, but I feel like the author went unnecessarily far with some of her gory descriptions and they distracted from the storyline instead of enhancing it. Maybe it means she is good at writing if she has such explicit details that I was so grossed out, but honestly, it's turned me off to a point that if she writes another book in this series, I will not read it.
