I thought this book was solid. I liked Raquel, and her reluctance to participate in the game was hilarious to me. The chapter titles were amusing, and the history woven into the book was welcome instead of heavy-handed and overshadowing the plot. This book was a fantastic blend of horror, friendship, romance, family, and creepy stuff. And the creepy stuff had lasting effects on the characters that really raised the stakes! I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is maybe not into "big" horror, but wants to dip their toe into the genre and / or feel creeped out.

Anyone afraid of insects should use caution before getting into this one.
