Wow. This trilogy was nothing like I expected. From book one to book three, we see major character development, politics, battles, dragons, spice, found family, good banter, lovable side characters, and a unique magic system.
I will say the 1st book gave ZERO indication as to how this trilogy would go. I felt like book one had a build-up, but I wasn't expecting where it led. I do think the magic system was more prominent to the storyline in book 1, and by book 3, politics were the biggest focus. Normally, I wouldn't love it, but book 3 was my favorite! I liked each book more and more.
Our FMC and MMC are both badasses with perfect chemistry. HOWEVER, I don't feel like it was ever addressed as to HOW they heard each other's thoughts for years and years. It's giving fated mates [love that] but at the same time, it was never really explained.
Love love loved this book!
