Ready Player Two by Ernest Cline
2.0

Starts out well, and the premise is exciting, but that excitement is quickly lost when you find yourself trudging through pages and pages of esoteric 80s references that add nothing to the plot line. These references were at least varied in the first book, but there are whole chapters in this book that simply bombard you with character names, song names and locations from one franchise at a time, which is exhausting.
Giving this two stars, because the technological ideas in the book gave me pause for thought, but the plot itself was extremely disappointing and I was glad when it was over.
