ktbchn 's review for:
The Mothers
by Brit Bennett
Half of this book is incredibly slow, frustrating and monotonous. If it werent for my fantastic patience and drive to finish something ive paid for I wouldnt have relished the ending, where the pace quickens and ur teeth are locked into these characters and their selfishness.
Maybe I feel a bit sick and tired of reading about 17 year olds written by old women. I was also not jamming with the entire abortion/religion storyline as im scottish and thats boring.
I think this would be so much tastier to ingest as a visual media like a tv series.
