I grew up watching the film, and years later I found out it was based on a book. So, I thought to myself, I need to read the book. I don't why it took me so long to read this book. But I finally read it, and well, it is quite different from the film, that I can say. Perhaps because I saw the film so many times, I lost count of how many times I have seen this film. Perhaps because of that I already create this image in my head of the story. So when I started reading this, I realize how different it is from the film. I did not enjoy Sally, to be honest, I found her extremely annoying and close-minded. I really didn't like her way of thinking or expressing herself. And her daughters. well, I can't even explain how I feel about them, overall I didn't enjoy as much as I thought I was. I stay with the film. Maybe if I read the book first I would have liked it a bit more.
