This is a much-needed reprieve from the violence and war of the first three ACOTAR books. It is a sweet look into the cozy life that is possible for the Night Court during peacetime. I hadn't realized how deeply affected I was by the tension and worry during A Court of Wings and Ruin until I felt myself exhale within the first few minutes of starting A Court of Frost and Starlight. I enjoyed the simple interactions between the family, getting to know them more for they are and not just how they perform when fulfilling the duties of their roles in the court. I loved it.
