This really felt like someone was imagining a movie and decided to write it instead. The humor felt forced and the "inspiring" messages felt even more forced. I also wish I hadn't googled the inspiration behind the novel before reading it, it definitely ruined the experience for me: I constantly felt uncomfortable.
