Just like a prediction straight from the book, this came to me at the perfect time. I lost my dog earlier this month and while going through the grief of that, I found this book randomly. It wasn't in my TBR. I hadn't heard of it before I picked it. I just looked at a list of books a random internet person posted and went with this one. This book had me locked in from the moment I picked it up. I've never read a 500 page book this fast. To be honest, I was trying to meet a personal deadline, but I didn't ever feel like I wouldn't meet that deadline because the book held me captive. It was intense throughout and I was just waiting to see what would happen with every chapter. I'll probably read this one again. Definitely recommend.
