Exodus by Steve Catto

adventurous mysterious fast-paced

4.0

Exodus went in directions I wasn't prepared for when I started it. It was a bit slow to get started and I felt it difficult to get into at first but that soon changed and I was intrigued with the directions it was taking.
There is a lot going on and a fair few characters introduced for such a short book. It was a little difficult to keep it straight in my head of who is who and doing what.
I liked Alakzander and felt sorry for him when certain revelations are made. These revelations seem to have broken him, which was very sad to see but hopefully events at the end of the book help bring him back to himself with the help of Freya.
Overall I enjoyed it and do want to find out what happens next. At the end of the book you are left with a lot of unknowns.
