Reflection
by Elizabeth Lim
I think this is the perfect book if you loved Mulan and still remember the story.
It's been years since I last watched Mulan and I got thrown in the middle of the story and it just left me confused, because I didn't remember any names or what happens before this fight (where Reflection stars).
I loved everything about Diyu, the underworld, and I think that Elizabeth Lim really did a perfect job of explaining the chinese mythology and describing it. The elements she added to the story were really fitting and interesting.
The book was very slow-paced and the style of writing felt a bit bland and easy to me; but I read somewhere that this book is aimed at children? So that actually would make sense.
