Imperfect Cadence by Emily Axon

Unbeknownst to me, I've been on a huge angst streak, and this book just takes the top charts! I was drawn in by the cover and stayed for one of the most compelling and moving story I've read so far this month. If you enjoy having your heart ripped out but slowly stitched back together again, then I implore you to PICK UP this book. The story of Colton and Grayson had me crying at 5 in the morning in the best way possible. They felt so realistic, and their story held my heart in a vice grip. This was such a beautiful story about two slightly broken people finding their way back toward each other.

Definitely giving me "to be loved, is to be seen" vibes. The chapter with the spring had me silently wiping tears away. The way Colt was able to feel safe enough to open up to Gray about himself was so beautiful 🥹. When Grayson was writing in his journal to colt, absolutely tore me up.
