So I read City of Ember as a kid many times and it was one of my favorite books, I had never read any of the books after tho.
It’s so crazy reading this as a young millennial living in America in this day in age during a genocide etc etc, just thinking how important it is for young kids to read books like this and learn lots of empathy and critical thinking skills so they don’t get sucked into mob mentalities etc etc

This isn’t a good review, I just couldn’t stop thinking about how this series is still such a good book for young kids and so many important large concepts such as war and greed and refugees and it holds up and kids should def still read this now
