The narrators were amazing! Honestly the audiobook was what kept me going while reading this and made the story that much better.

This is my second time reading this. The first was a 'dnf for now' because I wasn't vibing with Kayla so I decided to wait for the audiobook so here I am now.
This final was very different from the previous ones  but it fit these characters very well.
The whole thing between the bodyguard and A was weird as f to me because it was clear early on what was going on there so Adriel feeling like he did was a bit much however further into the story and knowing more about him, I can see why he felt that way towards Chris. I totally get why he felt the way he did towards everyone.
I loved Adriel and the way he showed his broken pieces to Kayla little by little. I loved the journey he had to go through and choose whether or not to forgive his mother and subsequently his brothers for what happened to them. I loved the way he took care of Kayla even when he didn't know if he was doing it right. He never eve got a hug until her... 🥺 It was so sad. I loved the little moments he had with Sophie too! That little girl who ain't so little anymore is always a highlight in very book in the series. She just has a role in all of this which is to bring everyone a little bit closer than before and I love that.

Kayla has a LOT going on which I understand however I don't know how to feel about her vigilante work. I totally see where she was coming from and I get it but to continue the work even after having "everything" seems too much for me. She's still healing but she could still heal without all of that but it makes sense for these two to be that way so who I am to say no to that. In the end I'm happy they're happy and that they healed so much already but there's still working on it and getting better. I loved that they're a family even if it took years for Adriel to get there.

This is the end of the series but I'm confident it won't be the last time we see these people and Sophie.
I'm very excited to read Ruthless Savage from just the little glimpse we got in this.
