This was...oddly mysoginistic?
The cats treat their female owners like their "girlfriends", even going as far as "rejecting" other female cats in order to prioritise their "girlfriend". They also make comments about their appearance, their lack of make up use and the story overall makes very pointed comments about women needing a man, needing to be saved, needing to be taken care of.
This might be a case of a style of writing that translates poorly into english, but I really didn't enjoy this at all. It really annoyed and angered me. I sincerely do not recommend it.
