This was a fun time! Reminiscent of goosebumps; you never really think things won't work out, but you enjoy the thrill through the characters' feelings. I think the way race was handled was a little odd. It was overly simplistic, and I couldn't help but feel like Kois might not have been the best person to tell that story. He handles queerness better, and he mostly skirts around the first generation Indian-American perspective, so that doesn't stand out as much. But otherwise, this was a really fun read.
