I just couldn't get into how this story was told. By using a first person perspective the 2nd half of the novel was largely explained to the main character. As such, the novel ended up telling a very different story than the one I was expecting, but I kept thinking that the story I was expecting seemed way more interesting.  

Now I am off to attach this review to a fishing rod, dangle it down a hell hole, and have it come back out with a that's that
