How to Fall in Love
by Cecelia Ahern
I’d like to start off by saying I liked this book, I did. I love reading books about places I’ve been because I can visualise it better.
But the story took a long time to get into. I was determined to finish it because I didn’t want to give up. A lot of it was unnecessary conversations and description that wasn’t needed. The story dragged a bit, until I had about 20% left.
It definitely covered some important areas, and I could absolutely identify with Adam and his struggles, but overall the book didn’t move me. It just didn’t feel like the characters were real. Maybe it’s because they all had a reasonable amount of money or they’re older than me. I’m not sure.
It was a cute story, and I’m glad I read it. I just felt like so much was missing, you know? But it was nice as a break between some of the more depressing books I’ve read recently.
