A Tomb With a View: The Stories & Glories of Graveyards by Peter Ross

I think we all ought to think and talk about death a little more, and this book is a wonderful attestment to this. It is not only an exploration of death and burial, but of the life that is so central to both. This would’ve been 5 stars if not for the infuriating speculation around Amelia Ann Blanford Edwards even though the masses of evidence that make it clear that she was a lesbian. Other than that this was a most enjoyable read, and I recommend it to absolutely everyone.
